Results of SCW7 / 2016 Location Vote Announced

11/25/2014

Congratulations to Kingston University! The institution received 75 of 118 votes from Whedon Studies Association members as the location of the organization's seventh biennial conference to be held in the summer of 2016. The university is located in Kingston upon Thames, England.

The Whedon Studies Association received three excellent proposals for its next gathering, and between November 5 and 19, 2014, associates voted on their preference. This vote contributes to but does not completely determine the WSA officers' final decision regarding the conference's location. That decision, to be announced soon, will be made in conversation with local arrangements chairs and will involve many elements, including but not limited to the assessment of local institutional support, conference spaces, accommodations, dining, and transportation.

Special thanks to all of those who submitted proposals.
